Thumbs up TECHART Automobildesign GmbH Stands Behind Products

Hello fellow enthusiasts. I want to share a positive experience I recently had with TECHART Automobildesign GmbH.

A few weeks ago, I noticed the passenger side TECHART-style side skirt on my 2000 C2 Cabriolet was warped. There were a series of undulations, approximately 8-12 inches apart. Knowing that body parts, manufactured of polyurethane, very seldom possess these characteristics, I thought perhaps they were made of fiberglass. After further research via the internet, I learned the side skirts were genuine TECHART, and proceeded to contact the company to inquire about replacements. The car is nine years old. And being the third owner of the car, and having no idea how long the side skirts have been on the car, I was pretty sure the warranty had expired. And sure enough, after emailing w/ TECHART, they were. But get this.. TECHART is standing behind their product 100%! I received complimentary replacements today!

If I ever upgrade to purchase a 997, I'm definitely buying their products. I have no affiliation w/ TECHART. I'm just a very satisfied customer.

Really glad it worked out. I have to say there are very few companies in this industry like TechArt. They have always taken care of any issue I've seen in a first class manor which is probably why they're as known as they are.

Sorry, I can't do that. I agreed to destroy the old ones.

No, the replacements are not painted.

Does anyone have advice as to how to remove the super-duty adhesive from the car? I tried Goo-Gone to no avail.

Heat -- no go. Used mineral spirits with a lot of rubbing. My hands are raw, but at least it's ready for the autobody shop now.
