I was a huge fan at 16 years old, not at my age now. Unless your 997 lives on the track, I wouldn't do it. You are asking for a lot of supercharged domestic abusing you at every street light.

Porsche seems to me to be an "elegant" sportscar, I would let the car lines speak for themselves, no need for racing stripes, I also own a muscle car, Camaro SS, stripes look good on american muscle, not so much in European sports cars IMO.

I would stripe.

Love then 35+ ago, still love them today. Just make the colors subtle.

I love the look of the silver stripes. Consider doing "ghost stripes" with clear maybe?

OP needs to show the matching side and hood stripes. I like to see the "big picture " before making a choice. N

I had matte black rally stripes on my C4 until last year. I thought that they looked great and only took them off because they were becoming worn. My pictures suck, but below is a link so you can see what Matte black on a midnight blue looks like

I like the stripes on this car because they're toned down. With that said, the Gt3 RS 4.0 stripe looks really cool, but only on GT3's or perhaps YNot's car

I'm going thru the same (sort of) right now. Someone sent me a Martini 918 last night and got me started.... so I photochopped it on my 997 (red ascents on the bumper, wheels and mirror are already there).

Decision... decision...

I wouldn't do it but if I saw your car with those black stripes... I'd dig it.

I like them both. You've got me wondering what color would go with my Atlas Grey car now.

I'd vote for matt-surfice clear stripe, or black stripe if you have black wheels.

Single Stripe down the middle narrow gt3 style , mixed opinions but majority loved it when I had it. goto kistudios and there are a ton of pics to compare.

best thing just take it off if you dont like it...one last thing stripe even seems to take better on the 997 body due to the circle headlights and will match better if you have some type of wing and front spoiler to make it flow more aggressively IMO.
