My strategy
Ya see, I offer him $475 (cash, American) and after he recovers I come back with $1300 and he's thrilled. So thrilled that when I give him a certified check for $5k that somebody owed me, he sends me the balance of $3700 cash, the two turbos and throws in the diverter valves because I'm such a fair guy.
Actually, very early on in the history of that scam, I took a $5k check and deposited it in my account and waited for funds to clear before sending the guy anything. The check bounced of course and I got charged a returned check fee even though they never returned the check. I had a frame all ready for it.
