This was done in a WC 997 that I bought for a client that now owns it. This car ran in WC in 2008. For this event, we put some used Michelin slicks on the car and we actually qualified in the 1:19 range. This was a lap during testing the day before. The WC cars are impressive......the new client will run it at Laguna Seca this Oct. when we will have 4 WC cars and 3 IMSA Cup cars.

James, have you driven on the Hoosiers yet? I've heard a lot of people saying the Hoosiers are even faster than the Michelin Blues.

Love Cup Cars !!!!!!!!
James,
fantastic driving!
What are main differences between World Challenge and IMSA Porsche Cup Cars?
Is one the RSR and the other one standard 997 Cup Car?
I enclosed pic of myself at VIR Porsche Club Race a couple weekends ago

Hi Marty,
A WC Cup car is inbetween an RSR and a standard Cup car which is essential an IMSA car with a fuel cell and some upgraded shocks. The WC cars run 3.8 motors vs the standard 3.6 that comes in the base Cup car. WC cars can upgrade aero, engine, gearbox, suspension, etc. They are more advanced than a Rolex GT Cup car but not quite an RSR.
From top to bottom.....
-RSR
-WC Cup car
-Rolex Cup car
-Standard/IMSA Cup car
Hope that helps.
Say hi to Alex down there........great guy!

Thanks James,
I appreciate the info as I know alot of guys here in MPLS, MN that have cup cars.
Some have purchased new 997 Cups and ran the IMSA series and one has an older
(2000) GT3R that he has run at the 12 hours of Sebring, etc.
Alex Job is a 100% class act and his guys really know their stuff!!!
