Cool What to do with a burnt up 997 GT3?

Hello all! New to the forum but very excited with the wealth of info here.
I came across a burned out 07 GT3 that I bought through an auction. Dont know how the fire started but it was an interior fire. The fire consumed the complete interior and partially on the right side of the car. Left side is almost intact. Engine and suspension, wheels (carbon ceramic) and undercarriage are not affected. I thought about parting this car out but was wondering if it can be re-built as strictly a track car as it came with a non-repairable title. Any suggestions?

"Set on fire by the previous owner", is a bold statement... what evidence do you have of that?

I made an assumption. I don't know how it caught fire.

Very unfortunate for the previous owner. But you being the new owner by the looks of the car I would part out. Lots of valuable and sought after part on it like brakes wheels and other parts.

Good luck

looks like
1 headlight/taillight
1 front fender
1 driver door
1 turn signal/fog
3 gt3 wheels and tires/ PCCB rotors and Calipers
1 engine/exhaust (maybe)

from the photo posted, it looks like the passenger side is largely unsalvageable; however possibly the motor/trans and more likely the hard parts on passenger side (brakes and susp?) are salvageable.

to better assist us, would it be possible to put up current photos? i have not read the entire RL thread - it may be a difficult issue with the previous owner - but if you now own the car, i see it as no problem

to answer your original question, i dont think the car can be rebuilt confidently - however keeping the intact driveline for another car or selling the working equipment could recuperate your investment
