PASM and springs....?
Hi! I want to lower my 997S who has PASM but I read that if I lower it I can have problems.........why?
I want to put Gemballa springs for PASM...thats what the guy from Geballa told me...
Who put springs in his 997 with PASM?

i have a 997s w/ h&r's on it. put about 6500mi on them, not problems, i drive my car hard... alot
if the installer knows what he's doing then you should be ok. its not like your droppin it 2 or more inches

Just get a guarantee from the spring company and the installer (in writing) that they will back-up their work. There have been reports of lowering springs blowing out PASM shocks - something about the oem shocks not being engineered for lower / stiffer springs. It could be installation related as well - thus my suggestion of getting both supplier and installer to back you up. The last thing you want is to drop the car and be faced with a $5k fix that Porsche will not cover.
Then again, if you are lowering, I'm guessing it's for serious track duty and so maybe you are willing to take the added mechanical risk.
