German Auto Fest....Anyone going???

http://www.germanautofest.com

September 13th - 14th, Seaside Park: Ventura CA.

Evolution Motorsports will be attending the 3rd annual German Auto Fest in Ventura CA. This is an outstanding event where Porsche enthusiasts can rub elbows with fellow enthusiasts as well as people in the industry. The full EVO team will be there in full force with a few of our vehicles including a 640 HP 996TT and a 400+ HP 996 (Yes 996). We will be unveiling this 996 supercar for the first time at this show. In addition we will have our "MTCU" (mobile chip tuning unit) on the premises so anyone interested will be able to have one of our experts add some power to their vehicle while they wait. We will be partnering with GIAC at the event and for those who are interested, we will be offering the very first public release of the long awaited "IBE chipswitch" for the 996TT. Anyone interested can have this upgrade performed at the show. Hope to finally meet some of you there

On the Turbo, does the IBE chipswitch allow changing for instance between stock and Stage 1 (with just Stage 1 installed)?

Yes, it will allow you to change between stock and stage 1. It will also allow for 1 additional program. (3 total: Stock and 2 performance programs)

Todd

Yes, it will allow you to change between stock and stage 1.
Is Stage 1 and the stock ECU in one unit, or is there an ECU for each?

When will the chipswitch be available?

I am going to see if I can arrange time to go to this. Schedules permitting, I would be honored to hang w/ some NorCal - SF Bay Area types on the drive down (or back).

Sorry for the delay guys. The IBE will be available at the German Auto Fest. We will be releasing them nationwide shortly there after. The IBE will allow the use of 2 performance programs as well as the stock program with the same ECU

Ken, we will be offering a trade in program that is VERY fair. I will have pricing available early next week.

As one of Todd's local guinea pigs I can attest to the usefulness of the chip switch. Very cool. One push of the button and the car is stock (for trips to the dealer). Another push of the button, I've got a low octane map (about 600 HP) in the event that I cannot get my usual 95 blend (came in handy during the recent gas shortage here). And another touch of the switch and I've got full power (640 HP).

Yours in speed,
