How do you satisfy a "no front plate" ticket? Also, a word of warning about Glendale.

Well, after having my car for less than 3 months, I got this stupid ticket. I was parked in a mall, face in with the front my car almost touching a wall! What are the chances of that!?

It says correction required and the phone line on the ticket only has a outgoing message. So I cant ask about this. But I wonder if it actually has to be inspected by a cop or can I just send in a picture with the front plate attached? Th cop didnt check off the red box at the top which says "correction required". But it does say correction required near the citation number.

ALSO, IF YOU ARE IN LOS ANGELES, BE VERY CAREFUL AROUND THE CITY OF GLENDALE!!!! I went to a friend's house and as soon as I got off the freeway, I counted 7 police cars on the way to his house. And 4 more spotted as we drove to the stupid mall where I got the ticket. I actually counted them and remarked this to my buddy. It's like I felt I was going to get ticketed for something in that city.

Don't think a Glendale Police Officer can give you "no front license" plate ticket at the mall. That is private property. Look at the location that is listed on the fix it ticket. I live in Glendale, bunch of ***** cops here.

I was actually right across the street from the mall in an underground parking structure where there is an outside food court (Starbucks, etc). When I exited the structure, the attendant said its owned by the city.

Also, just about every cop was looking at me as I drove past them. And they were not looking with eyes of admiration that's for sure. Somehow I knew I was going to get a ticket for something after seeing so many cops within such a short distance of exiting the freeway.

a couple questions.. Steve what attachment are you describing?
And I thought you have to pay the $35 ($75 if paid after 21 days) AND you have to get it signed off by Glendale cops?

Also, I think I may just get it put on since I have heavily tinted windows and my risk of being stopped & ticketed for that is greater with no front plate. Plus, the front plate doesnt look that bad i think?

also, how do you even put on the front plates? As you can tell , I'm not mechanically inclined. I guess I would need to drill holes into the license plate? But how do you attach it? thanks

Correct, you have to pay the fee and fix the problem.

I got one the other day - I think it was actually $100 bail forfeit if you didn't do the "fix it" things. They charge $25 to sign off so I just sent the check. Not worth the trouble of putting holes in the front bumper.

It seems most counties are doing different things these days. I've heard of $200+ no FP tickets in Ontario, in Long Beach it's no longer a correctable ticket and you just pay a $70 fine. In parts of orange county it's still a $10 fix it ticket.

I think it varies from state to state and city to city but I'm pretty sure when I got mine in LA, it was a mandatory fix. There was no bail forfeiture. The other thing is that the fine goes up for each addtional offense. After I got two tickets, I just left the plate on my C4.

Yeah...just pay the fine and be done with it. I've had both Techart & Gemballa front bumpers on my old TT and there was no way I was going to drill holes in them.
