Socal - Norcal 1/4 mile track day, Famoso raceway March 3rd...
Okay guys we're gonna have some stellar cars there! I figured I'd post here about the details, because this is a perfect forum that respresents many great cars!
Location:
Famoso Raceway is located in Bakersfield CA. it's approx 635' above sea level and is the best track, besides Sacremento raceway to get some optimal ET's and traps. You turbo guys still have the advantage. It is a test and tune run, not "streetlegals" only so we should get a good amount of runs in, but you never know how many cars will show, regardless will get some runs and the caravan up is half the fun.

When:
It will be on MARCH 3rd, next week! The gates open at 8am, we need to be there earlier though to wait in line. Some people may go the night before, if not we have to leave early Saturday morning. Meet up places can be setup here.
Here's the cars that are set to go so far.
997S GIAC Chip, bipass pipes
996TT stock
996S stock
E46 M3 AA Stage 2 Supercharged
(2) E46 M3's Few bolts ons, Gears
(1) E46 M3 Bolts ons, cams, gears
(4)B5 Audi Stage 3 S4's
335I Vishnu tuned w/exhaust
335I Vishnu tuned
B7 Audi RS4 Stock
B6 Audi A4 GTRS71R Big Turbo
350Z full bolts on's
VW Jetta MK V, LSD, bolt ons
Should be a fun caravan up, some interesting 1/4 mile runs and then the drive back!

I will try to go. 996 is currently in the body shop. If I don't get it back in time, then I may have to run an Enterprise Rent-A-Car against the 996TT.

K I think were going to end up meeting at the Burbank Albertson's parking lot on Glenoaks blvd. and Allen street at around 5 - 6 am. The 5 freeway is right next to it... I will try to get exact addresses for everything shortly.

Allen that sounds good, There's a stage 3 M3 that wants to go to as well, really cool cat. We're going to meet a few others at the Denny's restraunt off the 5 freeway right before magic mountain at around 6am or so. Call me everyone.

Had a great time hanging with the M3 guys because only one other Porsche owner (997S) showed up. The 997S ran a great time and so did a chipped 335. Unfortunately, the entire world showed up at the track by mid-day and it was tough getting runs in after lunch time.
Props to Drew for organizing, it was great meeting all the other German car owners and caravaning on the freeway. I had more fun in the caravan than I did in the quarter mile.
I botched my launch because I couldn't hear my car. Next time, I'll have a respectable time slip to post.
