997 GT3 RS Roll Cage Installed in a 997 GT3

We finally got around to installing our newly aquired GT3 RS roll cage in a regular GT3. The cage fit right into the cabin and the rear bolted right up to the tops of the rear strut towers. We did however notice that the cage did not come with any mounting plates for front mounting positions. Unlike the Tequipment roll cage for the 997, the RS cage mounts right to the floor of the vehicle. We have designed and fabricated our own mounting plates for the RS roll cage installation. Here are some images of the plates and the cage install. In order to correctly install the RS cage you need to have mounting plates. If anyone is interested in the plates, please feel free to contact us.

How does the body pan fit with that chunk of aluminum protruding down? I'm guessing that is a sim sized steel plate on the other side and the floor is sandwiched in between? Is that big of a piece really necessary? The forces of a crash/crush would be more likely to push the cage down through the floor, rather then pulling it up.
Am I asking too many questions?

Nice looking plates. Even with those, I guess it's still a tight fit with the sunroof.
