Missing thread - Silver Enzo...
Surely some of you must have seen the thread started by PA001 that seemed to imply he had purchased a silver Enzo. I was alerted to the thread while reading FerrariChat today, and recognized some of the photos he had apparently posted as ones I had seen almost two years ago. There was some discussion over there about how others thought the car looked familiar, some comments about the specific VIN number of the car in these shots, and a few people who agreed that the images were as old as what I recalled.
I came over here looking for the thread this evening, and when I found it I posted several of the images at much higher resolution than PA001 had, and then questioned why he was claiming the car was his and that it was in Miami, instead of Orange County, CA where most of the shots had been taken almost 2 years ago.
Honestly, I could have been wrong to call him out like that (though I was polite about it) but if I had been proven wrong then I would not have had a problem accepting that. However, less than 30 minutes after posting those images and questions in his thread, the entire thread magically disappeared. Strange really...
I couldn't imagine why a Moderator would have deleted it, but then I discovered that users can delete their own threads here. Hmmm...
Here are some of those images again.
For the records, these shots were taken by a user on Supercars.net when the car arrived at Ferrari of Orange County, and they have been on my hard drive since December 2003. Surely they will look familiar to the people who saw the original thread.
Here are some other images from the same set for those who just want to see more of a beautiful car.
Front - Rear - Engine - Hood
Finally, here are two of the other images that PA001 posted in his thread. These come from a different source, but have existed on my hard drive since January 2004. He claimed the car was in Miami, but I firmly believe these shots are of the same car, and were taken in SoCal.
I'm doubtful that there is a perfect explanation for all of this. The fact that the original thread vanished seems to prove that someone is trying to hide something here.
My apologies to the moderators here if this thread is out of line. I've simply seen far too many bogus claims on message forums in my day to stand by while another is perpetrated. So, does anyone actually know this guy, or was he just here blowing smoke up people's tailpipes? Inquiring minds want to know...

I bet he needs a vacation! I had asked him about his collection and never got a answer that was logical and when I inquired about a Car he had "FOR SALE" he sent me a PM and only wrote his name as PA001. I also asked him for pics of any of his collection and he said there were no pics taken on his computer he could email... WTF??
Do any of the LA guys actually know him or met him? If that collection was real he should be pretty well known in LA
