The Pagani Huayra Epitome represents the latest in Pagani's tradition of creating unique, one-off hypercars, even as new models like the Utopia begin to hit the streets. This exceptional vehicle, commissioned by a discerning client, showcases a blend of cutting-edge design and engineering, encapsulating Pagani's commitment to automotive artistry.
Unmatched Design and Customization
Emerging from Pagani's Grandi Complicazioni division, the Huayra Epitome took ten months of meticulous design and consultation. Its distinctive features include new front and rear bumpers, a bespoke front splitter, larger air inlets, unique headlight clusters, and vented wheel arches. One of the standout elements is the fixed rear wing, which, along with the reshaped rear end, optimizes aerodynamics for enhanced downforce.
Luxurious Yet Functional Interior
The interior of the Huayra Epitome is a testament to Pagani's attention to detail, combining luxury materials like leather, carbon fiber, and aluminum. The centerpiece is a wooden shift knob with an exposed shifter mechanism, complementing the manual gearbox. This blend of aesthetic and functional design highlights Pagani's ability to marry elegance with high performance.
Powerful Twin-Turbo V12 Engine
At the heart of the Huayra Epitome lies an AMG-built 6.0-liter V12 engine, producing an impressive 851 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque. This powerhouse is paired with a seven-speed manual gearbox from Xtrac, complete with an electronically controlled differential. Despite the lack of published acceleration times, the car's top speed is an impressive 217.5 mph.
Advanced Exhaust System
The Epitome's exhaust system features a lightweight, six-way titanium setup with four blue exhaust tips. A unique four-exhaust button on the center console allows for increased auditory excitement by engaging flaps for more noise. Additionally, the system includes two extra outlets that contribute to the vehicle's aerodynamics by using exhaust gas flow for downforce.
Superior Chassis and Suspension
The Huayra Epitome's chassis, made from Carbon-Titanium, is complemented by Chromoly steel front and rear subframes. The suspension system has been re-engineered to reduce dive, pitch, and roll, ensuring the car handles exceptionally well on both tracks and roads. An active suspension system includes a "super soft" damper mode for enhanced comfort on bumpy roads, operational below 93 mph.
Unique Alloy Wheels and Braking System
This one-off Pagani features alloy wheels inspired by the Pagani Imola Coupe, with 20-inch front and 21-inch rear rims. Wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires, these wheels ensure optimal grip and performance. The braking system, equipped with Brembo Carbon Ceramic brakes, features 398 mm front and 380 mm rear rotors, providing outstanding stopping power.
Exclusive Manual Transmission
What sets the Huayra Epitome apart from other Huayras is its manual transmission, a rarity in the model's lineup. While the Zonda and Utopia models feature manual gearboxes, the standard Huayra did not. The Epitome's seven-speed manual gearbox with a triple-disk clutch and a tripod-style driveshaft joint adds to its uniqueness and appeal, making it a highly sought-after vehicle among hypercar enthusiasts.
