PAST BLAST 1962 Porsche 356B Coupe
Check out this technical cutaway of a 1962 Porsche 356B coupe. It’s amazing how consistent the streamlined design of the 356 has carried over to many of the Porsche models of today. The four-cylinder, air-cooled, rear engine coupe was first built in 1948.
Here’s another photo from Porsche that shows a 356B leading a pack at the Weissach proving ground in 1962. Below is an undated shot of the car’s creator Ferdinand “Ferry” Porsche. Ferry was the son of Dr. Ferdinand Porsche, the company’s founder.
