Porsche 918 on Porsche 911 GT3 Sound Battle
Between you, me, and the rest of the Internet, out of the three hybrid hypercars, the Porsche 918 Spyder makes the best sound. I know the Ferrari La Ferrari has a naturally aspirated V12, but the guttural growl that turns into a high pitched heavenly whine from the Porsche makes my skin tingle every single time I hear it’s exhaust. It’s a magical sound, one that I hope to one day experience in real life as I mash the accelerator down with my right foot.
With that said, the naturally aspirated Porsche 911 GT3 makes a hell of a sound from its 3.8-liter flat-six engine that develops a whopping 475 horsepower and can rev to 9,000 rpm. To the 918 Spyder’s melodious tenor, the 911 GT3 is the soprano that’s hitting all the high notes reaching everyone in the theater. The two then combined is pure, unadulterated eargasmic sex.
Just listen to the two as they roar off during a street race that most likely happened in the Middle East.
