The Lamborghini Murcielago Drift Car Finally Lives!
Drifting has become its own entity. It has become a sentient being, willing things into existence and proving that no amount of horsepower out of an LS block is ever enough. There’s a spirit to the sport, one that will surely continue for years to come. However, today we aren’t here to talk about LS powered drift cars, or ridiculous plumes of smoke. We’re here to talk about the insanity that is the Monster Energy Drift team of Daigo Saito and Vaughn Gittin Jr.
The video production team over at Monster got wind that Daigo Saito was building a monster. A drift car made out of a Lamborghini Murcielago that was wrecked years ago. It still had the same carbon tub. It still had the monstrous naturally aspirated V12. Except everything inside the car has been stripped out and a manual transmission with hydraulic handbrake added. It is amazing.
However, the video team didn’t think it would be enough, so they called Vaughn and he brought his RTR drift car to play with Saito’s Lamborghini. Check it out, this one is epic.
