The Nissan GT-R is one of the fastest supercars on the planet. With its twin-turbocharged V6 engine, and super intelligent AWD system, the car can rocket to 60 miles per hour in the blink of an eye. However, that speed, that acceleration, that violence, hasn’t stopped others in attempting to improve its performance.

Over the past few years, a couple tuning shops have vied for who has built the fastest GT-R on the planet. For years, that title went to the guys at AMS Performance, and ETS Racing. Now however, there’s a new team in town called Ekanoo Racing and their GT-R just set a new world record.

With over 2,000 horsepower to the wheels, the Ekanoo Racing GT-R dropped a 7.44 second quarter mile, and trapped in at 200 miles per hour flat. Just wow. This dear friends, is a new world record, and beats AMS Performance by .04 of a second. It’s not a lot, but it’s enough. And like Dominic Toretto once said, “Doesn’t matter if you win by an inch or win by a mile, winnings’ winning.”
