We have all seen fully enclosed motorcycles before but none that have a self-balancing system quite like the one on the Lit Motors C1.

Based out of San Fransisco, California, Lit Motors is working to develop a personal transportation system that offers the versatility of a motorcycle with the safety and stability attributes of a car.  Just look at how awesome how the self-balancing gyros built into the bottom of the C1 keep it upright at a stand still and mitigate external forces applied to the body of the vehicle when in motion.

The C1 is planned as a fully electric vehicle and according to its designers will have a range of 150-200 miles. Performance specs say the vehicle can go from 0-60 in six seconds—not exactly Tesla Model S speeds but still zippy for a small electric vehicle.

The creators of the C1 hope to bring it market in the next two years and because it’s still in prototype phase pricing is far from known.
