Ford Releases Even More Special ’66 Heritage Edition Ford GT
In what will be a huge last few months of 2016 for the Ford Motor Company with the launch of the 2017 F0rd F-150 Raptor, and 2017 Ford GT supercar, they’ve decided to create another very special vehicle.
Still hyped after their Le Mans class-victory last weekend, Ford announced the creation of a special and one-of-a-kind 2017 Ford GT model, called the ’66 Heritage Edition.’ It’s intended to pay homage to the 1966 Le Mans winning Ford GT40 of Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon, so, if you thought the Ford GT was already pretty special, try finding out what the requirements are to get your hands on one of these special editions!
The ’66 Heritage Edition will sport a Shadow Black matte or glossy paint finish, along with silver stripes that run the length of the GT, and will finish things up with the exposed carbon fiber package. To stir up the racing nostalgia out of fans, the GT will also feature the No.2 hood and door graphics on Frozen White, and stunning one-piece forged aluminum wheels in a gold-satin finish and matte-black lug nuts.
I can see it now, a matte black Ford F-150 Raptor with gold-satin wheels parked next to a ’66 Heritage Edition Ford GT. It may only take place in my dreams, but it’s still pretty darn cool!
