918 Spyder vs. LaFerrari – Because Everything Is Bigger in Texas
It’s Not Often That We Get to See a Pair Like This Outside of a Fancy Video Production, Let Alone a Texas Drag Strip

It’s hard to catch a pair of this caliber at a car show, on the streets, or basically anywhere outside of a fancy video production put on by two renowned automotive publications. Yet, you could’ve walked into the semi-decrepit San Antonio Raceway in, you guessed it, San Antonio, Texas, and witnessed a heck of a drag race!
With the help of local intel, we’ve discovered that both of these vehicles are owned by an individual in the oil industry. Furthermore, we know that he owns an incredible feet of vehicles — all white. As our rapper friends would say: “All white errthang.”
If you’ve read up (or watched up) on previous matches between the LaFerrari, 918, and the McLaren P1, then you know that the 918 is mighty fast from a stand still. As you can see on this video, the Porsche smokes the Ferrari off the line, though it looks like the Ferrari didn’t have the best of launches.
Once both hypercars got up to speed the rest was history, and this video courtesy of fishgill0890 is definitely worth a watch.
Enjoy!
