991 GT3 RS Beater Martini Racing Replica Wrap Fools the Best

Often race cars rest at expos after major competitions brandishing their grit for hungry eyes. This 991 GT3 RS replicates history with a fashionable wrap. Sure you’ve seen rusty rat rods looking like they’re falling apart yet mechanically sound. You’ve seen fresh Team Martini Racing painted Porsches. Never has the world seen these styles blended together so artfully.

Picked up on Reddit by autoevolution, the folks report this wrapping style is a trend of this Swedish customer’s cars which are shown below. His Beetle is wrapped like Herbie and the Charger is wrapped like the Dukes of Hazard so this Martini-Porsche is fittingly right at home. These wrap designs were done by famous U.S.-based artist Skepple, whose website is gorgeously filled with loads of appetizing automotive projects.

The rock-chip film wrapping team at Wrap-Zone in Sweden did a smashing job with laying and attaching the skin. So even and proportionate with no excess stretching, top shelf skills. Massively deceiving that it’s really just rock-chip protection film. The Swedish fellow’s team of two other cars looks just as well doctored. Even though this GT3 RS looks to be thrashed and trashed, an experienced automotive eye, trained professionally for repair of frames and bodies could see this faux-wrap coming from a kilometer away.

This Porsche’s paint is perfect underneath the film wrap with smooth paneling around. Even while parked I can see the frame is aligned to a tee from the factory, no crab walking from a crash. These are two simple things to crack his “beater look” deception but it’s a fun fashion statement. This is cutely cosmetic. Well done lad, this bit a visual trickery is simple brilliance all of us can enjoy.
