Originally sold in Japan, this gorgeous 1996 993 Turbo up for auction is virtually flawless, sporting no sunroof, black interior, and 2,300 miles.

Though there was a brief moment in time when 993 Porsche 911 models were the most affordable of the bunch, their historic landmark as the final air-cooled Porsche 911 models virtually guaranteed appreciation to folks lucky enough to buy low some 10 to 15 years ago. Now, though, some examples are making a brand new Turbo S look affordable. Indeed, this gorgeous silver 993 Turbo imported from Japan is a brilliant example of that phenomenon.

Currently for sale on Bring A Trailer, this no-sunroof 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo is an all-out stunner. With 2,300 miles on the odometer and virtually no sign of it ever having been on the road, it’s as close to a brand-new 993 as one might ever see. With its iconic body lines, manual transmission, and black leather upholstery, we could very well be looking at a holy grail example of a 993 Turbo.

A Flawlessly Preserved Time Capsule

Looking inside this example of one of the most iconic Porsche 911 models is almost unbelievable. There doesn’t appear to be a single excess crease in any of the leather upholstery, a scratch, a hair out of place, or a sign of life throughout its nearly 30-year history. As one might expect with the mileage, the exterior follows suit. The only issues the listing reports are small paint chips in the hood and spoiler. Aside from that, it’s factory-fresh.

As is standard affair with a 993 Turbo, it’s all-wheel-drive and puts down 400 horsepower with an accommodating 398 pound-feet of torque. As we mentioned above, the 3.6-liter turbo brute of an engine joins a six-speed manual transmission. Putting all that power down isn’t an easy task, but its limited-slip differential helps to handle that. In addition, its fresh set of Michelin Pilot Sport tires wrapped around 18-inch alloy Turbo Twist wheels help, too.

A Pricey Piece of History

You won’t see a 993 Turbo like this come up for sale often. So, it’s no surprise to anyone that it’s quite expensive. At the time of writing, the auction still has six days and it has already amassed a high bid of $250,000. Hagerty’s Concours condition valuation of a 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo is just shy of $400,000, and we expect this particular example to have no issues getting to that level.

While that prices the vast majority of us out, we definitely can appreciate that we got a chance to see this beautiful example in detail thanks to the photos. What an outstanding car!
