997 GT3 and 991 GT3 Spotted on the Nurburgring
With the Carrera 4 and 4S officially out, there’s only the high(er) performance models of the 911 that we have to wait for. Next on list on the list is the GT3. Porsche has been showing off the GT3 around the ‘Ring for a while now in camouflage, but this is the first time that we’ve seen it side-by-side with it’s contemporary model. It might lack the polish of the production model, but there’s no doubt that this is Porsche’s new top-of-the-line when it comes to naturally aspirated machinery.
With the 3.8 liter flat-six, it’s bound to be more powerful than the going model by a fair margin. Likewise, we can expect the GT3 to be a stripped out, track weapon.
We expect this car to arrive early next year, if Porsche’s past releases are anything to go by. What that does mean is that the much anticipated Turbo model is likely next in line. Can’t wait.
