Akrapovic Shows Off ‘Full Moon,’ and No, It’s Not Kardashian’s Butt
There seems to be two completely separate motorcycle scenes right now that are trending. First you have the hipster café race/bobber culture, which I am admittedly a part of. And then there’s the extreme bagger crowd, that I just don’t get. The “Full Moon” is definitely from the latter. However, my personal tastes don’t begin to take away from the engineering and design that went into this wild ride.
The “Full Moon” is the first full bike created by exhaust engineer extraordinaire’s Akrapovic. They are the same exhaust company/maestros that tune the sounds for Ferrari, BMW, Fiat, Porsche, and a whole host of aftermarket motorcycle exhausts.
This bike though, was actually built from the tailpipes front, and if that sounds odd, it’s because it is. Akrapovic first built the bike’s exhausts, then it set out to design the rest of the bike around that initial exhaust idea. The entire concept makes for a very striking look.
While many may joke that the bike’s name is a veiled reference to her ample behind, it’s actually based on the 30in front wheel that was made to look like a full moon.
I’m not sure where you all fall on the café vs. bagger debate, but you can’t say this isn’t a striking piece of machinery.
