An Affordable Aston Martin for Under $100,000
Face it; we all want an Aston Martin at some point in our lives. However, most, if not 99% of us will never have the possibility of driving one of these amazing machines. Especially when the retail on one of them starts around $150,000. Well, ladies and gentlemen, Aston Martin heard your cries and decided to produce a cheaper, more “working man” priced car.
Dubbed the Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT, a bone stock, no frills example will only cost you the low, low sum of $98,000. At this moment you are saying, WTF Jonathon, I thought you said that this was going to be a working man’s Aston Martin. And to that I say, it’s still an Aston Martin, you can’t get away with making it the cost of a Toyota can you? The engine alone costs more than a Prius!
But do away with the fact that it still costs a massive amount of money, the price vs. other cars in that same category like the 911 or Ferrari 458, or even the everyman GTR cost upwards of 20-150,000 more dollars than this. Which in my opinion make this thing a bargain.
What you get with it is a proper 6 speed manual transmission, bucket seats, Alacantara everything, massive brakes, and an exhaust note that can be literally heard for miles. The machine is frankly a beast. Sure most of us will still not be able to afford it, but it does give me hope that Aston Martin might continually come down in prices to where maybe in 40-50 years I will be able to own one. Until then, I will keep on lusting after this one.
