Aston Martin Superleggera Leaked on Social Media
Only the very best high-performance Astons get to wear the Superleggera badge. And the new DBS looks worthy.
We’ve known about the existence of a new Aston Martin Superleggera for some time now. The successor to the Vanquish and rebirth of Aston’s high-performance moniker has also been caught in quite a few spy photos recently. But we haven’t gotten any sort of peek at what the new Superleggera will actually look like, sans camo. Until now, that is.
A completely bare Aston Martin Superleggera is fully on display for us, thanks to a recent tweet from AutoBant. And needless to say, nobody’s disappointed. Aston makes nothing less than drop dead stunning automobiles, and this new super DBS is anything but. It’s also clear that the Superleggera wears larger headlights and much more aggressive overall front styling cues than its brethren.

Which is exactly what you’d expect from a car that is going to take aim at rivals like the Ferrari 812 Superfast. Under the hood, a gussied up version of the Vanquish S 6.0-liter V12 packs a rumored 700+ horsepower. But that’s what you’d expect from any Aston wearing the legendary Superleggera badge. After all, these have historically represented only the highest-performance cars in the storied brand’s lineup.
At its core, the DBS Superleggera will share parts with various other Astons. But make no mistake – it is wholly unique, riding on a modified structure and wearing plenty of aero on the outside. And Aston isn’t being shy about its potential, either.
Aston chief creative officer Marek Reichman recently said that the the company “pushed the boundaries of performance and design to give this car a distinct character and ensure it’s worthy of the heritage and weight that this name carries.” Meanwhile, Aston boss Andy Palmer simply called it “bloody good.” And do you really need any more confirmation than that?
