The Aston Martin Vulcan is Here to Claim Your Soul
A few days ago we showed you a teaser from Aston Martin. In the short video clip, we saw and heard something that spat flames and sounded truly monstrous. The noise the car made sounded as if it were coming from something that was crawling its way up from the pits of hell. In other words, it was awesome and we couldn’t wait to see what Aston Martin had created. All we knew was that it was called the Vulcan.
Now, just a week before the Geneva Motor Show, Aston Martin has revealed what this Vulcan car is. It does not disappoint.
According to Aston Martin, the Vulcan is a stripped-out, 7.0L V12-powered monster that makes more than 800 horsepower. Its body is made out of carbon fiber. The chassis is a carbon-fiber monocoque. The Vulcan has the same suspension pieces found on the Aston Martin One-77 and the Camaro Z/28. It’s a track-only hellion that’s here to take your soul.
Here’s the bad news: Aston Martin will only make 24 examples of the Vulcan. What’s even more insane is that if you buy a Vulcan, you can also participate in Aston Martin’s racing development program that takes you from a V12 Vantage S to a One-77, then to a fully prepped Vantage race car, then, finally, to the new Vulcan. I’d call my local Aston Martin dealership as soon as possible because these are going to go fast.
