Audi TT-RS Test Drive With Youtuber Seen Through Glass

By -

Shopping for cars can be a fun experience. Come along on a test drive of a Audi TT-RS to see if it makes the cut for Youtuber Seen Through Glass.

The Audi TT-RS is the smallest of the RS models. A two door coupe with unique styling and a potent 400 horsepower inline 5 cylinder engine. The RS is the spec that finally gives the TT model the performance to match the aggressive new look. Of course, it also has Audi’s legendary Quattro all wheel drive system. The Quattro in the TT-RS is computer controlled to move the power around for maximum grip unlike a standard TT. The combination of practicality, power, and performance make it a great daily driver. Youtuber Sam from the channel Seen Through Glass is shopping for a new car and the Audi is on the short list. In this video he takes us for a test drive of the TT-RS.

The 2018 Audi TT-RS is a wickedly fast little monster, clocking off zero to sixty in just 3.6 seconds. Just like the R8, the TT-RS has Audi’s new virtual cockpit. It offers an incredible digital dashboard, that allows the driver to customize the layout to suit their needs. The screen based system looks brilliant, but it is a wonder how the system will hold up in the long term. This will be a question for the third or forth owner ten years in the future.  The TT-RS shares its steering wheel with the R8 as well as its wheel-mounted start button. Adding these premium details from the R8 makes the little TT feel very special.

Speaking of special, the sound of the inline five cylinder turbo charged engine is glorious. The rowdy five cylinder sounds like half of the R8s V10, plus it makes turbo noises. The TT-RS also features magnetic ride, which has selectable ride modes. This system helps the short wheelbase TT ride very well on the road. The TT is often over looked and finally Audi gave it the proper attention it deserves. Watch the video to see what Sam has to say about the TT. Let us know what you think of the 2018 Audi TT-RS.
