Auto Blogger Begs Ford to Sell Him a New Ford GT!
How many times have you had to submit a video to a company asking them please take a cool half-million bucks off your hands? Once, twice.. what about never?
That’s exactly what the owner of popular automotive website, Drag Times, has resorted to in order to have a shot at one of the 500 2017 Ford GTs that will ever roll out from the factory. In case you haven’t heard, Ford has adopted a very Ferrari-esque process of selling their coveted GTs, and have launched a website where potential owners can apply for ownership—after having read Ford’s demands of course.
Ford has mentioned that owners of previous generation Ford GTs will have an upper hand (though not guaranteed), as well as potential owners with large social media followings that are willing to show off the car and keep it on the streets, instead of housed on a hermetically sealed and temperature-controlled, multi-million dollar garage.
This nice fella goes on to show proof that he’s the perfect GT candidate, as he owns a 2005 Ford GT, goes to car events, charity events, and gets a ton of exposure due to his website and social media channels like YouTube, etc.
That’s what it’s come to folks, people begging car companies to take their hard-earned dollars… A sign of the times!
