Built for Speed: The Bentley Mulsanne is About to Go Way Faster
Because opulence knows no bounds including the sound barrier, Bentley, makers of massive luxury cars for the semi rich or semi famous have decided that their flagship model, the Mulsanne needs more speed.
Indeed, the British make will be adding quite a bit of speed to the Mulsanne, the cars normally rated for around 505 hp and a ridiculous 752 lb-ft of torque, will be upped to 550 hp and some even crazier amount of torque!
That extra 50 or so horsepower will be enough to push the behemoth car, weighing in at almost three tons, to a top speed of over 200 mph. Frankly, this car is way more ridiculous than any supercar.
It’s easy to do 200 mph when you weigh less than my shoes, Bentley somehow has figured out how to get a house to go over 200 mph! That’s some proper engineering.
Named after its baby brother the Continental Speed, the Mulsanne Speed will debut at the Paris Motor show in October and prices are expected to be around the $450,000 mark.
So you could either A) buy a house which is stationary, or B) buy this and live in semi cramped quarters, but you could say your house tops out at 200 mph! Who else can say that? Tell us about it in the forum. >>
