2015 M3 and M4 Full Specifications Revealed!

Damn is all I can say as I scroll through Bimmerpost’s full coverage thread of the BMW M4 F82 with an additional link to the BMW M3 F80. The thread includes all specs, 179 high-res photos + dozens of videos, and technical diagrams, sourced directly from BMW.

We’ll post a few photos here, but you’ll definitely want to follow the thread to view all the shiny M goodness (The high-res pictures of engine components will definitely make you feel funny inside).

A few highlights to note:

• M4 will be produced in Munich will come to to the US as a 2015 model year (available early Summer 2014)

• M3’s will be produced in the Regensburg plant alongside the 3 series sedan though the two cars (M3/M4) are advertised as technically identical

• Engine specs: 3.0L inline 6 cylinder Twin Turbo (S55)

• 425HP/406LB-TQ with a 7600 RPM rev limiter

• 0-60 MPH: 3.9 seconds (DCT) / 4.1 seconds (manual)

• Top Speed: 155 MPH / 250 KMH though the drive shaft has been tested up to 205 MPH

• Both M3/M4 models feature engineered-in curb weight reduction (~80 kg)

With shiny new engine components (V8 to Twin Turbo I6), a ton of aerodynamic and structural changes, the upcoming M twins are sure to be a hit – showcasing what BMW can do when you take an already existing (and successful) platform and focus on building improvements from there.
