Bugatti Chiron Caught Testing
So, by now, everyone and their mother knows what the Bugatti Veyron is. It was a concorde moment in time. An Apollo moon landing among the automotive world. It was the fastest, most powerful, production car, on the planet. And for a while there, it looked as if the Veyron would continue forever. Much like the Pagani Zonda.
However, all good things must come to an end, and so did the Veyron. A few months ago, the last Veyron was sold and built, and the company will no longer make the quad turbo, W16 engined supercar. But don’t fret, they’re hard at work building something else. Something they say will be just as astonishing as the Veyron. Something called the Chiron.
Using a modified version of the W16, power is rumored to have increased to a whopping 1,500 horsepower and 1,100 lb-ft of torque with the help of electric turbo charging and a possible hybrid drivetrain.
According to insiders, Bugatti is aiming for a 0-62mph in just 2 seconds flat. We know that the car will debut sometime next year, but to hold us over, we caught the new Chiron testing in a short video. Take a look and let us know what you think so far.
