Bugatti Sitting On $85M Worth of Veyrons
Here’s an interesting bit of information and perhaps a nice chunk of news for the ballers. Famed hypercar manufacturers, Bugatti (and undisputed king of automotive opulence) is reported to be sitting on a total of 40 Veyron Grand Sports. That’s about $85 million of inventory. Sprinkled within the announcement are a couple bits of good and bad news. As follows:
- – Unofficial word is there’s no plans for a successor until these remaining models are sold – speculation says we’re still years away from official news on future model development.
- + Bugatti will be employing a “Dynamic Drive Experience” across the United States to entertain potential and would-be buyers. We’re talking closed airports to experience raw speed runs, and a hands-on concierge sales experience.
- +/- We can’t imagine how the credit and due diligence check for that process has got to be. Surely more than a quick glimpse at an applicant’s LinkedIn profile.
Though it’s unlikely that there’ll be any price cuts or fire sales happening to move this last chunk of Veyrons, who knows what Bugatti will have up their sleeves. As we know, the Veyron, which debuted in 2006 will be coming on eight years old, and has been quickly eclipsed by a new class of raging, snarling, gas-efficient upstarts.
Perhaps a new corporate spokesmodel might be effective to market this campaign.
