The Corvette and the Porsche might both be world-class sports cars, but the engineers who designed them couldn’t have attacked the problem more differently. One the one hand, we have a pure expression of American grunt. One the other, there’s a manifestation of German precision.
As Angus Mackenzie says at the beginning of this clip, these machines appeal to guys at the polar opposite of the sports car spectrum. And as silly as I think the question of which one is a better sports car is—it’s a four-wheeled Beatles or Stones argument—watching the fight is still good fun.
