Cry as You Watch This Audi R8 Crash at the Nurburgring!
Ah, the good ‘ole Nurburgring, a Gearhead’s happy place. Yet for so many, the adrenaline carousel can quickly turn one’s happiness into utter terror, and even death.
Such is the case for this new-generation Audi R8 driver, as we can see in this gut-wrenching video by, Jeff Chin Photography. I won’t necessarily describe the video word-by-word, as that’s the whole purpose of watching a video, but it’s needless to say that just because you have high-tech all-wheel drive, it doesn’t mean you’re immune to oversteer or understeer.
This sweet-looking R8 is perhaps the pinnacle of the Audi lineup, and even the driver at the wheel seems to be rather skilled, as at no point does he over-correct or make any sudden movements. He simply holds his line and hopes for the car to sort the situation out. Unfortunately, a little grass and a little dirt got in the way and the Nurburgring’s narrow run-offs ran out rather quickly.
What could’ve been done better? Well, perhaps not push as hard, or be a more precise with track limits. That being said, this is not the first and won’t be the last Audi R8 to crash at the green hell.
