Don’t Lift: Top Five Wildest Porsche Autobahn Videos

1. 996 9ff GT2 Slays the autobahn at 350kph

It boggles the mind to think that someone at 9ff looked at the GT2 and said, “Yeah, it needs more power.” This thing goes hit’s 340 kph (a solid 217 mph!) before bringing it back down. The crazy thing is this wasn’t even a top speed run. With the 900hp this car is producing, it’s limit is probably somewhere around Mach one.

2. Lunatic GT3 Carves into Autobahn

There are few absolutes in this world. But one thing that’s completely clear? The person who edited this video has crappy taste in music. The notes of the GT3 should have been more than enough, but it’s clear that this driver totally needs to get to Stuttgart in time to see Kraftwerk.

3. Lambo Gallardo vs Porsche Turbo

It’s like a high speed game of cat and mouse with these two. The Gallardo is a force to be reckoned with, no one doubts that, but the 911 is willing and able competition on the street. There’s also light traffic, which is uncharacteristic of the Autobahn during the day time making the driving fast and fluid. There’s even an Aston that shows up for good measure!

4. Porsche’s Manager of High-Performance Cars Takes the GT3 Out for a Night Run

It’s reassuring that Porsches higher-ups are willing to go punch it every now and then. He not only takes the GT3 to a ludicrous speed (at night!), but he also goes on to explain why the GT3 RS is so special. And did I mention the sound? That wail is enough banish lesser cars into irrelevance and put fear into the heart of monsters. Awesome.

5. How to Drive like a Dick

Lest all these glorious high speed runs fool you, the autobahn isn’t a place for purely reckless driving. This video takes the cake for that. The driving is bad and dangerous. End of story. That being said, it’s the element of danger that make it both exciting and sickening. Watch if you dare.
