Donut Media’s History of Lamborghini Is Absolutely Freaking Hilarious
Explore 54 years of Lamborghini history through jokes, sarcasm, and hilarious animations. Because why the hell not?
“A Lamborghini, OHHHH MYYY GOOOOOD!” That’s how the average man or woman would react to a rocket-looking, obnoxiously loud and bright Italian sports car. Unlike Ferrari, Lambo caters to the more extravagant (and somewhat douchier) wealthy folks. But before the Raging Bull became who it is now it had to get started…in a very unconventional way.
Some of you connoisseurs may already know this – but Lamborghini’s roots involve farming tractors. Yes, before the Lambo doors, the fire-spitting exhausts, and the oozing sex appeal, there was hay, dirt, and denim coveralls. Although they were Italian denim coveralls, so they were probably much more fashionable.
The founder was Ferruccio Lamborghini, and like any wealthy Italian man at that time he bought a Ferrari – or two. After a while he noticed that these expensive rides weren’t all he expected them to be, so he complained directly to Il Commendatore Enzo Ferrari, who didn’t give two craps about what Lamborghini had to say.
As a result, Lamborghini decided to start up his own sports car company and that’s when the Raging Bull was born. As this video by Donut Media highlights, there have been several owners, a couple of bankruptcies, many failed models, and a healthy dose of Swiss investors.
Think of the Miura, the Countach, the Diablo, the Murcielago, and the modern Gallardo and Aventador. All iconic, and all badass. Heck, even the less popular models like the Espada and Jalpa are still pretty sweet in their own quirky little ways. Needless to say, the automotive scene is better because of Lamborghini – ’nuff said.
