Ellen DeGeneres Loves the Porsche Experience Center

It’s Good to Be Ellen DeGeneres on a Normal Day. It’s Especially Good on a Day She Visits the Porsche Experience Center.

Ellen DeGeneres obviously has a thing for Porsches, considering she drives a Cayenne Turbo and she’s married to Portia de Rossi. And apparently, she’s also got a thing for the Porsche Experience Center.

Recently opened in Los Angeles (with another U.S. location in Atlanta), the PEC is the place to be for lucky Porsche enthusiasts. Since Ellen certainly considers herself one of those, she recently visited the Center to shoot the segment below for her show, and see what kind of fun’s to be had.

Because Ellen seemingly needed someone to make fun of the whole time, she brought along her producer, Andy Lassner. Lassner is also a Cayenne owner, of the Platinum Edition variety. But as Ellen points out, hers is much faster. And — as we can clearly see by Lassner’s reactions to being driven around the track in a new Panamera 4S Hybrid Executive — he’s really not good at high speeds.

After the experience of being driven around by one of the PEC’s experts, Ellen is finally given some keys to see what she can do. She goes for full-throttle speed in a 911 Turbo S, shows off her off-road skills in a Cayenne, and handles the kick-plate slide test like a pro in a Cayman.

And she’s game for it all. Which is much more than we can say about Lassner.
