While we still haven’t received all the versions of the 991-generation Porsche 911, the German engineers are already out testing what seems to be the facelift for their core model. Our images are the first to reveal the refreshed incarnation of the 911. Since the new generation of the model showed up at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2011 and Porsche’s typical life cycle includes a revamp once every four years or so, we can expect the facelift to debut in 2015.

It’s time to talk Porsche 911 editions now and it seems that the car shown here is the GTS model. To put it shortly, this will be the hottest naturally-aspirated version that doesn’t slip into the track-inspired area, such as the GT3, for example.

The test vehicle is wearing camouflage on its front and rear aprons. Up front, we can see reshaped air intakes and LED daytime running lights. However, it’s the rear end that holds the bigger changes, sporting larger taillights. Again, this is a strong indication that we’re dealing with a facelift here.
