Feast Your Eyes on the Latest RWB Porsche
Porsche tuners are all over the globe, each focusing on a particular style or purpose, but perhaps none are as notably crazy as Japanese Porsche tuner Akira Nakai-san. His creations are called RAUH-Welt Begriff Porsches–better known simply as RWB.
What Constitutes an RWB Build?
When people refer to an RWB Porsche, they are talking about the body kit, with massively flared bubble fenders, custom bumpers, lips, skirts with the end result looking similar to a race car of the period.
For his latest creation, Sakai-san traveled all the way to Florida. The mission was to build a stunning mint green RWB Porsche for an owner, all within a three day timespan. This is an intentional strategy by Nakai-san when it comes to building RWB cars. He works through the night, and seemingly non-stop in a listless and fanatical manner, chain smoking the whole time. Fanatical is the only real way to describe this sort of passion project and the way Nakai-san takes on these builds.
This particular build was titled “Kyou-Kishi” or “The Fighting Knight.” Lucky for us, filmmakers Christ Petruccio and Anthony Purcell were there to capture the quick magic, giving us a masterfully shot 4K-HD 20 minute short film.
The video perfectly demonstrates just how much of an artist Nakai-san really is. To him, his creations are more than just sheetmetal work on Porsche bodies. Rather, they are world-renowned builds, demonstrating exactly what is possible when you give an artist free reign and a canvas. World-renowned indeed, because just like that, Nakai-san was back at the airport and his way to start the next build. It never stops.
Watch the artist at work and see in great detail just what it takes to pull off such a transformation in a short period of time.
