If You Like Ferraris and Don’t Know Who Dario Benuzzi is – You Should
Ferrari has made some of the best cars known to man. The F40, the Enzo, the 550 Maranello, and now the LaFerrari. Much of the praise though goes to Ferrari’s own engineers, however, that should be going to one man and one man alone, and his name isn’t Enzo.
Since 1969, Ferrari has employed Dario Benuzzi as the company’s chief test driver. And during that time, it was his invaluable experience that made those iconic cars what they are today. He’s down thousands upon thousands of hours flogging supercars and hypercars around the test loops of Maranello, and without that knowledge and skill base, Ferraris wouldn’t be as good as they are.
In order to celebrate this fact, Ferrari gave the 69 year old chief test driver one of the best thank you’s a person could ever get. They brought together a F40, F50, an Enzo, and a LaFerrari and gave Dario one of the best days of his life. He was able to see all the fruits of his labor in one place and take them around the track once again.
