In a weird twist of events, Ferrari has side stepped calling a recall a “recall” and decided that for the first time in all its history, it would be generous and give something back to the customers.
According to Autocar, Ferrari supposedly found a flaw in the LaFerrari’s fuel tank that could have the potential to make the LaFerrari just another joke in the self immolation Ferrari joke book.
However, Ferrari being the kind hearted individuals that are totally not hell bent on world domination through branded product, decided that they’d just give their customers a new fuel tank.
Here’s the scoop, according to some forums where owners of the LaFerrari are known to inhabit, Ferrari has kindly asked for all 499 LaFerraris back to “give” the customer a new upgraded fuel tank.
Now seeing as the cars has been barely out for long enough to get an oil change, let alone a new fuel tank, this has many wondering if Ferrari found out that the fuel tank on the LaFerrari has a tendency to set itself on fire.
While Ferrari completely deny the allegation, they are recommending LaFerrari owners to come in and receive the “brand new upgraded fuel tank” for their hypercar. Well played Ferrari, well played indeed.
