Video: Your First Glimpse of the Production Ford GT!
The all-new Ford GT supercar, and the 2017 Ford Raptor pickup truck have been some of the most anxiously-awaited vehicles of the last two or three years. I’m just glad the wait is almost over, and that Ford didn’t tease us for about six years like Acura did with their NSX.
These rare videos and photos posted to social media by Mike Levine, Ford’s product communications manager for North America, show us a healthy and agile young production Ford GT testing. The young GT can be seen stretching its legs at the race track, and by the looks of it, it has finally grown past the stages of raw body work, shotty exhaust pipes, and law-breaking test drivers. Look at it go, finally free from its mother’s tit. (The mother being the engineers, of course.)
Featuring the most powerful EcoBoost engine ever developed, the 600 horsepower supercar pays homage to the iconic Ford GT40 that snatched the 24 Hours of Le Mans victory from Ferrari in 1966.
