Photo of the Week: Ford GT From Behind
Courtesy of the good people at Jalopnik and photographer Steven Swanson we’d like to present you this awesome Ford GT wallpaper.

To be honest, we miss the Ford GT with its far-too-short production run from 2004 to 2006 (4,038 produced in total). We miss the constant streams of content from Top Gear and across the web… listening to Jeremy Clarkson gush about the ridiculous machine (and as we know he subsequently bought one despite barely being able to fit into it) and the constant shoot outs between the big 3 goliaths: The Mercedes SLR, Porsche Carrera GT, and of course the Ford GT.
But what I miss most was the the unbridled charisma of the GT. It’s 5.4L Supercharged V8 shoved into an ultra low (44.3 in height) and lightweight 3,351 lb body.
It was unapologetic and gave proper respect to its predecessor, the legendary GT40.
According to Steven the photographer, the Ford GT pictured here was making somewhere in the neighborhood of 1,000 hp. Not bad, I guess. (Just kidding – what we’d give to drive that car).
