Since Henrik Fisker left his nascent alternative fuel startup auto company, the man has been quite busy within regards to designing some killer coach built creations for Galpin Auto Sports in California.

At the LA Auto Show this year, Galpin and Fisker launched their own version of the new Mustang, the Fisker Rocket. The car had 725 horsepower and a complete carbon body that looked quite impressive.

However, Fisker and Galpin are at it again and this time they’d like to one up the gorgeous Fisker Rocket. And the pair picked a great car to start with, an Aston Martin Vanquish. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the Galpin Fisker Thunderbolt.

Like the aforementioned Rocket, the Thunderbolt went under the knife and shed its old Aston Martin skin for a brand new body made completely out of carbon fiber.

In addition to a revised roofline and grille, the car gets smaller taillights, and a new spoiler to set the cars look off perfectly. Additionally, Fisker lowered the car a half inch lower, thanks in part to a new suspension.

While the entire exterior and much of the interior of the car have been replaced with new units, Fisker an Galpin kept the stock 5.9L V12 motor that makes 567 horsepower and can get to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds.

However, you may never see one outside this single unit since both Galpin and Fisker state that this Thunderbolt is merely a design study. That is unless they have a line out the door ready to order one. We will have to wait and see about this one.
