This is What it’s Like to Crash a Lamborghini Diablo
Rob Dahm crashed his Diablo while driving in the rain. By his own admission, he shouldn’t have been driving in the conditions that he did. It was wet out. His tires weren’t in the best shape. Obviously, this wasn’t his best moment, but I think that’s what makes this video so appealing. People make mistakes. At least he’s honest about it.
It also gives the plebs some insight on what the costs are for fixing something like a Diablo when they break. Right now his estimates are around $25k. That’s for his destroyed control arms, busted rotors, and everything else that’ll need working over before the Diablo lives again.
I guess this is just the type of thing to remember when you’re browsing the classifieds for 90s exotics. They might seem like a steal, but beware repair.
