Hand-Painted Lamborghini Aventador SVJ: Work of Art or Vandalism?

Hand-painted Lamborghini

That is not a wrap! Artist drives his hand-painted Lamborghini Aventador SVJ around the streets of Monaco.

A Lamborghini Aventador SVJ needs no help to stand out from the crowd. No matter what color it is painted the Italian supercar is guaranteed to turn heads. However, some owners feel that the big Lambo could use a bit of additional pop. For most folks that means installing a custom wrap on the car. A few owners will take it a step further and have their car custom painted. But the car pictured here might be the only hand-painted Lamborghini Aventador SVJ in the world. What is even more incredible is that the car has been painted by the owner himself.

Of course, the owner of this car is not just anyone. It is Saudi Arabian artist Abdullah Qandeel. Qandeel is known for creating abstract paintings using bold lines and colors. His work is usually done on canvas not on half-million-dollar Lamborghinis. But that is exactly what he has done for his latest work. Supercars of Austria recently posted a video on their YouTube channel showing Qandeel working on his art. He painted his car in front of the Hotel de Paris in Monaco for all to see. And he didn’t just paint the outside of his car. He applied his painting style to the entire interior as well. It certainly is a bold statement and like nothing else we have seen on a car like this before.

Interior

The video begins with a walkaround of the hand-painted Lamborghini. The scene then shifts to show Qandeel applying paint to various exterior surfaces of the car. Despite the fact that he is doing this in public, and with spectators all around, he seems unfazed. He calmly applies his paint as onlookers watch and take photos of the moving piece of art.

He paints the car with the same abstract theme he applies to his other works. And like other art projects beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some may love the bold style and other may feel that Qandeel just vandalized his own car. Despite what we might think this car being painted by a well-known artist will likely further increase its already substantial value.

As everyone one knows fresh paint needs to dry. And what better way to dry it off than by driving it around? Qandeel takes the wheel and drives his custom car around the streets of Monaco. The Monaco community is fairly jaded when it comes to fancy cars. There is not much that residents of the area have not already seen before. However, a hand-painted Lamborghini Aventador SVJ manages to turn heads as it drives by.

This thing may just be the fastest painting in the world right now. It certainly is the best sounding painting. Checkout the video and let us know what you think of this one-of-a-kind creation in the 6SpeedOnline forums.
