Happy Birthday Lamborghini!

We hope we look this good when we turn fifty! Lamborghini has prepared some remarkable hardware in honor of its own fiftieth birthday: special editions of the Gallardo and Aventador. The Gallardo only gets a unique paint scheme, some carbon fiber bits and a transparent engine cover. But behold the Aventador LP720-4 50 Anniversario, which gets more power (20bhp more, to be exact), revised front and rear ends, two-tone paint and 50^th Anniversary badging.

Lamborghini revised the 6.5L V-12’s tuning, resulting in more power and a new moniker: LP720-4 50 Anniversario. Additionally, it receives an updated front end with bigger intakes and extended splitter (for greater snowplowing efficiency) and an all-new rear designed for greater ventilation (snow blowing?) and better aerodynamics.

The purr-ty paint is called Giallo Maggio (May Yellow), and is accented with gloss black rims and matte black rockers and lower fascias. Yes, the black probably has a fancy name too. No, we didn’t ask. Anyhow, the Aventador, Gallardo AND Veneno will be at Auto Shanghai. If you’re considering one, you can probably afford to just pop on over.
