Hennessey Drags SLS Roadster Against Aventador

The guys at Hennessey get their hands on a lot of hot hardware, but they’re not spending all their time in the garage. Part of the allure of being a well known tuner like these guys are the perks of the job. Take this drag race between an SLS roadster and the Aventador. There’s no real reason for it to happen. It’s just the upside of being Hennessey.

Clearly, the Aventador has the advantage. The mid-engine super car is pushed along by 690 hp wave of V12 fury. The SLS is a roadster, has a V8, and packs a (relatively) paltry 563 horsepower. Of course the Aventador is going to win. Truth is though, that it doesn’t really matter. Going full throttle for a solid mile anything is fun. In an SLS? Even better. In an Aventador? Now that’s just showing off.

Racing is fun. There doesn’t really need to be any other reason than that.
