Indian Custom Land Speed Scout Video Will Make You Want to Ride
The story of Burt Munro’s epic journey to set a world land speed record on a 1926 Indian Scout. Nearly 50 years ago, he succeeded on the hot salt flats of Bonneville, and his record has stood ever since.
Now, after 48 years, Indian is celebrating that triumphant achievement with a custom motorcycle. Based on the Scout, this custom series bike looks like a million dollars wrapped in a beautiful collection of modern technology and achingly pretty nostalgic bodywork. It is a modern homage in all the right ways.
In this new video from the company, you get a long look at this bike from every angle, and there are lots and lots of long moving shots. Just as the original did, this bike is blasting around on the smooth ground of the flat deserts, too fast and too impressive to be contained by the asphalt prisons that we have created to guide us through our lives.
If you’ll excuse me, I think I’m going to call it an early day and go for a ride.
