It’s generally considered bad form to deface ancient structures. So Chinese officials were understandably pissed when a mainland Ferrari dealership employee used a 458 to spin donuts on the Great Wall. The desecrating donuts occurred at an event intended to celebrate Ferrari’s two decades in China, and it’s safe to say the incident won’t go down as one of the Italian supercar maker’s more astute PR moves.
This video is all in Chinese, but even though my Mandarin is a bit rusty, I was able to glean it’s not a puff piece about the Prancing Horse’s sporting capabilities. As far as donuts and 458s go, this video probably went over a little better. Here’s hoping the resulting tire marks can be removed without doing too much damage.
